The image is dry-mounted onto a custom piece of high density fibre board
(MDF), then permanently sealed with a clear vinyl matte laminate. The edges of the plaque are bevelled and colored with edge
foil. There is a large variety of edge colors to choose from. (See Other Products and Services) A slot in
the back allows for easy hanging flush to the wall.
Mat border is similiar to the plaque mount process except for the mat.
There is a colored trim around
the image and it is then centered onto another colored matting. The outside mat is called a border and is 2" wide. The
inside mat is called a trim and is 1/4" wide. The border and trim sizes can be customized to the customer's liking.
There are also a wide variety of border and trim colors.
